Here at Kirkpatrick Partners, it warms our hearts to see our past graduates doing great things in their organizations using what they learned in our programs, and inspiring others through their efforts.

We have created the Kirkpatrick® BrightLight™ Professional Award to honor such people.

Kirkpatrick BrightLight Professional inspires others through the process of implementing Kirkpatrick evaluation principles and contributing to subsequent organizational results.

We are proud to have extended this award to four deserving recipients at a reception held during the ATD 2017 International Conference & Exposition. Click here to see photos from the reception.

Looking for a case study or two on how to successfully implement the Kirkpatrick Model?

We've created a Case Studies Guide to help people locate the perfect case study for their situation. Some of these case studies can be found in our books, while others are taught in our programs. They range across different topics and types of organizations.

To say that my Dad, Don Kirkpatrick, was an optimist is a colossal understatement. His team was always going to come around in the end to win. It would always stop raining so he could go fishing. He could always count on people to do their best. And when it didn't happen, he would shrug it off and begin his positive expectations all over again for the next event.

I don't recommend that you wear the proverbial rose-colored glasses 24/7. Sometimes your team will lose, it will continue to rain, and people will disappoint you. However, it is not fun to always expect the worst, or be around people who carry a black cloud.

At Kirkpatrick Partners, we decided several years ago to be more like Don. We typically avoid defending our model to active resisters. Instead, we like to focus our time and energy with people who are interested in making our model work. We find that when we encourage them, they share their successes with others. And those who are disinterested or skeptical tend to believe them, and are more likely to try our New World Kirkpatrick Model

We also recommend that you find receptive business partners on the other side who will give you a chance, or just open the door a crack. Work through a program with them, and create a success story that you can publicize. Then, your team of like-minded professionals will grow, as will business partnerships.

There is an abundance of positive people and life experiences for me to surround myself with. I have no interest in battling with black clouds. I suggest you do the same.
